A bit about Karin Lynn

May I preface this with "I am doing this only because many have asked. I do not feel real comfortable with "I" stuff, but here it is:

My name is Rev. Karin Lynn-Hill, and I now live in Texas with my new husband, Francisco. I have two wonderful children and four precious grandchildren!

I was born and raised in California, and accepted the Lord during the Jesus People Movement on April 22, 1970 - now before anyone gets excited about my Christian Maturity, let me jump in and say, regretfully, that I was not discipled, and continued on in the lifestyle that I had become accustomed to. As I got older, I continued to be a "Christian" mostly in name only. I did go to church, even taught Sunday school from time to time, but still was not walking the walk, nor did I truly have a relationship with Christ. I prayed, I trusted Him in the rough times, and by His Grace, He was always there. It took my daughter having to be placed into a residential special care facility that finally brought me to the place where I was finally ready to be discipled. That was in 1989. I soaked it up like a sponge that had been unused and in a corner for a long, long time! I could not get enough. All the Scriptures that I had "known" (and even prayed at times) finally became reality to my heart - no, even deeper than that - the very depths of my being just opened up to embrace the Words of my Lord. On my face before Him, realizing how much I had missed in my Christian walk, how much I must have grieved His heart - I began to study, and study, and study.

Still, throughout this learning process, the enemy had some strongholds within my life that had to be destroyed. It was a long process, but PRAISE HIS MATCHLESS NAME - a completed one! Satan still comes at me with the same old stuff, but by God's grace, I'm able, now, to stay focused upon God's Truth and walk accordingly! Glory to His Name!

With certificates as a Lay Minister in Biblical Counseling through Nues Laben (now Victorious Christian Living, Int'l - in Rock Falls, IL) I began to share with others the Truth of the Word and the "how to apply it" to their lives. What a joy. I continued to study and study and study. Going through Evangel School of Ministry in Chicago, IL, I received a diploma of Pastoral Ministries in December of 1997, with a second one issued in June of 1998. Around that time, our (my husband's and mine) business/life/everything just turned upside down, and this housewife/business helper had to find work. All my skills were in leadership (as we had quite a few employees), special care givers (due to years with my daughter) and in Christian Ministry, but no education for a "Work" atmosphere. God, in His Grace and Mercy, provided work - and I praise Him. It was through that position that I began to work on the computer, teach myself html, and get excited about it. I felt the Lord's prompting me to put "Ministry Through Music" (the music ministry name He had given me years ago to use for the ministry I do (I'll share that later) on to the Internet. My first Web site was set up. I was not satisfied. I felt I need to share the gospel more. I felt the push from deep within to develop a web site that was actually an extended ministry outreach with many areas of needs being met. Thus "Karin Lynn's Place" developed under the Guiding Hand of our Lord and His Sweet, Sweet Holy Spirit. That is how this site, (no longer with my name on it, because it is His ministry, first and foremost, so it was changed to it's proper title) was developed.

January 2009 the name was officially changed to 4-Given Ministries as it encompasses a full range of ministry outreaches.

I also have written Devotionals and Bible Studies.

Basically, I just love the Lord and love to sing, speak and write - I also have a missionary heart, and love to do "fund raiser" concerts for missions. Because of the way in which my life unfolded, and the sorrow within my heart for the "wasted" years, I have a special desire to work in areas of discipleship with others, so they do not have to make the same mistake as I did. I feel that proper Biblical Discipleship is the ONLY way in which to truly begin and maintain your walk with the Lord!

Oh, when and how did I become an ordained Minister?! There is a world wide missions organization that I had been somewhat involved with from time to time over the past 8 years or so (before my ordination). In one of my times of ministering somewhere, got re-connected with them, and was asked to come up to Milwaukee, to a Ministers Conference, and share. I did, and it was kind of decided that I should "come on board". So, on the first of August, 1999, I was issued my Ordination papers - what an honor! What a blessing! I am just continuing on doing what I always have, but now it is (in the worlds eyes) "official".

I am a Spirit-Filled, Spirit-led, much loved child of God. My giftings (on all those Spiritual Gifts tests) are Pastor/Shepherd - Administrator - Encourager/Teacher. The Lord has graced me with the privilege of ministering in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Indiana and California.
