Part 4
Did you know that Jesus spoke seven things from the cross? Sometimes they have been refered to as "the 7 words from the cross" or "The 7 Sations of the Cross"
So, grab a pen and paper and let's do some Bible facts:
1 - The first thing Jesus spoke was to God the Father, as Jesus was nailed to the cross, He said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Luke 23:34
2 - The second thing Jesus spoke from the cross was to the dying thief who was being crucified next to Him. He said, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise." Luke 23:43
3 - The third words from the cross were spoken to Mary (his mother) and John. "When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom He loved standing near by, He said to His mother, 'Dear woman here is your son,' and to the disciple, ' Here is your mother.' From that time on this disciple took her into his home." John 19:19:26-27
4 - The forth thing Jesus spoke from the cross was to God the Father. "About the 9th hour (3 p.m.) Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eloi, Eloi, Lama Sabachthania?' - This means 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'" Matthew 27:46
5 - The fifth was "I am thirsty" John 19:28
6 - The sixth was a cry of triumph, "It is finished" John 19:20
7 - The seventh, and last, words spoken, "Jesus called out with a loud voice, 'Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit.' When He said this, He breathed His last." Luke 23:46
Seven powerful things Jesus spoke from the cross. Seven important things Jesus spoke. Now, let's take it a step further. I am going to give you seven Bible authors and references on Jesus death. See how each one viewed it differently.

2 - Matthew - Matthew 20:28
3 - The author of Hebrews - Hebrews 9:15
