"He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God." Psalm 50:23
"Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." Psalm 50:14-15
What does that mean? "Sacrifice thank offerings"?? To me it means developing an "attitude of gratitude" in all things. When you are faced with a gloomy, rainy day, you can thank Him for the rain that replenishes the earth. When you are faced with an uncertain change, you can thank Him for the new adventure that He is leading you on. When you have no idea what is around the corner, and fear tries to grab hold, you can thank Him that He holds the future, and has only your best at heart!
I have found that the more I walk in this life with an "attitude of gratitude" the less I have to cry out for Him to deliver me . . . it just happens! As I honor Him with the fruit of my lips (and my heart), He is faithful to deliver me from that which the enemy puts along my pathway.
