I doubt I'll ever tire
of working through the night
for there is an aura of peacefulness
from the stars above so bright.
But my favorite time is just before dawn
with the sky an azure blue,
and the city rests in quietness
before the suns' first golden hue.
No traffic and no rushing sounds
to interfere in life
just an overwhelming calm
erasing daily strife.
I take a mental picture
of this special time of day
and if the afternoon brings pain
it helps to brush it away.
