Smiling and joking or
grumbling and sad
describe people I see,
the good, the bad.
I greet them all
with a smiling face
and hope, through kindness,
their sadness, erase.
To ease their pain
and help them smile
makes the job
seem so worthwhile.
At other times when
the teasers come?
I just joke along
it's so much fun!
The spice of life
is variety, they say
and that is indeed
what I see each day.
