The Potter and the Clay

I watched a potter spin his wheel
To mold a piece of clay;
To make a vessel that would be useful
To use in some kind of way.

Then he told a story of another potter.
And Jesus was His Name;
And how you and I are like the clay,
And can be molded into someone useful today.

As the potter takes the broken clay and mends it back again,
Jesus takes a broken life and mends it until it's healed.
This potter gave His life to save us from all sin.
And, as the clay within the potter's hands,
Instead of being losers, we can win!
