A Safe Place

Psalm 31 I'm using the New Living Translation today

Have you ever been in a situation like a storm, or back in school (I'm dating myself, here) when the air raid sirens would go off and we'd have to get under our desks? We were compelled to find a safe place. A place that we knew was secure - a place of protection against that which was headed our way. That is what I think of when I read Psalm 31.

Whatever you may be facing today, this week, this year, this life time, may you receive peace, strength and encouargement from these verses. You can run to Him, rest in Him, in His shelter . . . it is a place of safety for all that comes against you. Be blessed dear ones, be blessed.

"Father, God, may each of us run into that secret place with You. Straight into Your protecting, loving arms of mercy. Lord, whatever we are struggling with, whatever weight it is that is upon our shoulders, nothing is beyond what You can do. May we remember to stay in that safe place of Your protection when the bombs of the enemy come at us. When the storms of our lives (oft times, by our own doing) get to blowing so hard we do not think we can stand, remind us of the safe place that is ours as we continue to delight ourselves in You, Precious Lord. Our shelter, our comfort, our tower of refuge and strength - we bless You, Lord. Amen"
