Thanks for Being You

Thanks for all the moments we share,
Just being there for one another.
Showing each other how much we care.

You brighten each of my days.
You put a smile on my face;
Because even when battles rage,
We know with Jesus, we have won the race.

Thanks for helping me believe in myself
In any given situation or place . . .
Never leaving me to stand alone.

We have laughed and joked,
Watched it rain and storm.
Saw the moon shine brightly,
And made a wish upon a star.

Both of us have wondered why
We didn't get together years ago,
But that wasn't in God's plan then.

You've been there to lift me up
When I'm feeling down and blue.
Your big smile is worth a million,
Because I know it's true.

I just pray our days ahead
Will be even greater still.
Just being there for one another
Through good times and bad.

With arms wide open,
And a shoulder to cry on if need be.
Just making life happier for both
Forever to see.
