World War III

No longer is it a showdown, our President says "leave, or war";
We might as well get ready -'cause Saddam is sitting steady.
Could this be World War III?

Military, men and women, have been shipped out by the hundreds.
Media reports of war abroad are on each and every channel.
Tomorrow evening war will start, where do you stand? What will you do?
The future of our children and grandchildren . . . from this war could be marked.
Could this be World War III?

As I watched a TV clip, today, my heart, it almost broke,
Small children, perhaps ages 2 or 3, waving guns and smiling from Iraq.
Clips of people after 9/11 burning the American Flag . . .
Not cries of sorrow, but laughs of hateful spite.
Could this be World War III?

When all is said and done, one thing is for sure;
The Word of God is being fulfilled.
Salvation is what people need, that is the only cure.
Many may come to "Jesus" and find He is the Way,
The Truth, The Life.
Others will run the other way, to live in hellish strife.
Could this be World War III?

The sad thing about war is the war we have with words.
We speak things we do not mean, then get a little mad
When someone else says something, not just right,
We act like an exploding bomb - ready to ATTACK!!
Nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes.
It's sad we go to war with each other, especially those we love the most.
Can we not forgive and go on with life and love those we are around?
Knowing that we would feel pretty sad, if something were to happen
To those we were warring with.
Yes, the war with Iraq, it will be bad. I pray - that is all I know to do.
But the war against others can be repaired, and peace, it can be felt.
Families, love each other, while you have each other,
Don't live in World War III.

Bombs now are blasting, in the Country of Iraq.
Bloodshed will take many, from both sides, we all know.
No time like the present for all to pray, for our
Those fighting in the desert, right on the firing range.

The book of Psalms says it right in Chapter 48, verse 14:
"For this is God our God forever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death."

Though those we love may turn against us,
And fight, as war rages on; God is with us
Day and night . . . we are not alone.

Dedicated to all our Troops
