Breakthrough Worship

It matters not what it IS that you are facing:

• Illness
• The Loss of a Child or Loved One
• Job Loss / Loss of Promotion
• Divorce
• Insurmountably Debt
• An Unexpected Move
• Hurtful Words
• Rejection
• Shattered Dreams
• An accident that has set your plans back for a while

Or a combination of the above, or other things not mentioned here . . . life happens. Bad things DO happen to good people. Every day, as a matter of fact. It is what we DO during those moments, how we choose to react to those circumstances, that make or break us.

Yes, we hurt. Yes, we 'feel' the devastation that comes along with event . . . BUT . . . when we make the choice to take the feeling before the Lord - when we choose to praise our God through the pain - that is where the enemy is defeated! That is where He restores our peace!  

Job KNEW God was His source of all things, and continued to trust in Him always!  "Though He slay me, yet I will trust Him." Job 13:15a NKJV

King David, time and time again, expressed his struggles, grief, pain, anger, sorrow, and joyous victory throughout the Psalms. He made the choice to worship the Lord through it all! Worship was his breakthrough warfare choice!

(for those who know me well, this will come as no surprise...) My favorite verses in the Bible are found in Habakkuk 3:17-19 "Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls--Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills." . . . No matter WHAT comes at me, I KNOW that God has my back . . . sure, I will feel the sting. And, yes, I may have a few tears, but I choose to get my worship on. I choose to get into His presence. I have found that in His presence the world begins to melt away and the Glory of His presence permeates my being like nothing else. His peace washes over me and He allows me to see things from His perspective.
